This object was part of our Parametric Constraint activity. We had to create this object using the dimensions and equations we came up with to find the next dimension (d1,d2,d3,d4,d5,d6,d7,d8,d9,d10,d11,d12,d13)

Basic Assembly

The other day we were assigned to go on inventor and build this object using different features that inventor provides. We basically used those features to attach these different pieces together.

For this assignment we were instructed to use the Inventor Program. We experimented with different features of the program to get a feel of what we will be working with in the future. We used the thread, loft, mirror, midplane, bushing, circular pattern, intersect, fillet chamfer, chamfer, rib, coil, and retangular features.

For one of our activities in our Introduction to Engineering Design class, we were supposed to make different combinations of 3 cubes, 4 cubes, 5 cubes, and 6 cubes. after we made all the combinations possible we were supposed to pick any 5 combination of cubes and put them together to make a cube that had a total of 27 cubes with a width and height of no more and no less then 3 cubes and none of the 5 peices could be the same each piece had to be different. I started off bye drawing different combinations and testing each one to see if i can make the Final Cube. I had ended up using a 3 cube combination and four 6 cube combinations to create the final cube.

The Cup Project

For our second project we had to take an ordinary cup made out of styrofoam and innovate it to the customers liking. At first, my partner and I brainstormed ideas on how to make the cup better than it was. We came up with a whole bunch of ideas and wrote them down with a sketch next to it to see how the cup would look with a new design on it. After we came up with about 20 new ideas to innovate the cup we only picked a few to add to the cup. Me and my partner added a waterproof clock, handle, logo, a lid, and a divider that allows you to have to different drinks in the cup at the same time without them mixing and with a straw on each side. We had also changed the color of the cup.
